About me

I am a Manistee native born on New Year's Day. I have returned to the 'Stee after 30 plus years of living in Boulder, Colorado.

I am a licensed K-12 Art Teacher, ESL (English as a Second Language Teacher, Early Childhood Educator and a K-2 Classroom Teacher. I hold current licenses in both Colorado and Michigan.

I have been fortunate to be recognized with the Colorado Teacher of the Year Finalist Award.

I was granted the Freeman Foundation Japan Studies Program in conjunction with the University of Colorado, Boulder. I traveled throughout Japan with other educators. We wrote curriculum for their Japanese studies program. I was chosen as a presenter at the University of Tokyo, Japan.

Once again, I traveled with the Freeman Foundation in conjunction with NYC Asia program. As educators, we traveled throughout China and Taiwan studying the education system of East Asia.

I was awarded by the Korean Embassy, Los Angeles, California intensive educator studies.
